Terms of Service

1. Service Description

ClearMargin is a Shopify application that provides profit analytics, customer lifetime value analysis, and product profitability tracking for Shopify store owners. The service is provided by Kaos ("we", "us", "our").

2. Account & Access

Access to ClearMargin is granted through the Shopify App Store. Authentication is handled entirely through Shopify — no separate account creation is required. By installing ClearMargin, you agree to these terms.

3. Billing

All billing is handled through Shopify's billing system. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice. Prices are listed in USD.

• Free trial: 14 days with full access to Growth plan features.
• Starter plan: $19/month — up to 500 orders/month, 12 months of history.
• Growth plan: $29/month — up to 2,000 orders/month, full history, LTV cohort analysis.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Shopify Admin. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4. Data Accuracy

ClearMargin calculates profit metrics based on data available in your Shopify store (order totals, inventory costs, shipping charges, etc.). We do our best to provide accurate calculations, but we do not guarantee the accuracy of profit figures. You should not rely on ClearMargin as your sole source of financial reporting.

Manual cost entries (ad spend, overhead) are your responsibility to keep up to date.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of ClearMargin
• Use the service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Share your access with unauthorized third parties
• Attempt to access other merchants' data

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects service availability. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

7. Limitation of Liability

ClearMargin is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Continued use of ClearMargin after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
